BabySync+ helps parents and caregivers log a baby's feedings, diapers, sleep, solid food and growth. You can use the app without signing in, and your records then stay on your device. If you sign in with Apple, or join a family group, your records are also stored in the cloud so they survive reinstalling the app and can be shared. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Records you enter. Feeding, diaper, sleep and solid-food logs (including ingredients, amounts and reactions), growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference), and the baby's nickname, birth date and gender. These are entered by you and are health-related. The baby's photo, if you add one, never leaves your device.
Account information. When you sign in with Apple we receive your Apple account's email address (or Apple's private relay address, if you chose to hide your email) and your name if you share it. We also store a display name you choose, which other members of your family group can see, and the name shown next to each record you add.
Identifiers. The app creates an account ID for you when it first opens, even if you never sign in. This is a random ID with no personal information. Signing in with Apple links that ID to your Apple account.
Diagnostics. Crash reports and performance data, such as crash logs, device model and iOS version, collected by Firebase Crashlytics.
Advertising data. The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. The ad SDK may collect your IP address (from which it can estimate your general location), device identifiers, information about ads you have seen and how you interact with them.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone or camera data.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your records for advertising.
BabySync+ no longer syncs through iCloud.
You can create a family group and share a 6-character invite code. Anyone who joins with the code can see and add records, the baby's profile and growth measurements, and the display names of all members. Only share the code with people you trust. When you join a family group, you see the family's records instead of your own; your own records stay in your private space and return when you leave the group.
Home Screen widgets and Live Activities use Apple's on-device frameworks. A widget button that logs an entry saves it on your device and, if you are signed in or in a family group, uploads it to the cloud in the same way as logging inside the app.
BabySync+ does not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. Because that permission is not granted, the iOS advertising identifier is not available to the ad SDK.
You can also email us to ask for access to, or deletion of, your data.
Data is encrypted in transit, and cloud access is restricted to the people who belong to your account or family group. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please keep your invite code private.
BabySync+ is a parenting tool used by adults to track their baby's activities. The app does not knowingly collect information directly from children. All data entry is performed by the parent or caregiver.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
